Support & information Find support Child Bereavement UK support services West London 0800 02 888 40 / [email protected] Child Bereavement UK, Beethoven Centre, 174k Third Avenue, London W10 4JL Support for families In light of the coronavirus pandemic, our bereavement support practitioners are currently working remotely and bereavement support is being offered by telephone or digital means. Support is offered free of charge to bereaved families. Booked Telephone Support We can offer Booked Telephone Support appointments for: parents whose baby or child of any age has died parents whose baby or child of any age is approaching the end of their life parents/carers supporting children or young people (up to age 25), if someone close to them is not expected to live, or has died. Groups for young people We are currently running groups for bereaved young people aged 11-25 via video platform where they can get to know others who have had similar experiences, and do something positive to support their wellbeing and each other. Activities and projects may include: games, art, crafts, music, and looking at ways to help to tackle any feelings of loneliness and build resilience, as well as developing tools to help others in similar situations. Please call our Helpline on 0800 02 888 40 to make a referral for support. This allows a young person to have an initial 1-1 session so they can discuss options for joining a group and further 1-1 support. Support for professionals We can support the work that teachers and other professionals are undertaking with bereaved children or young people, offering resources, guidance and support and bereavement awareness training. Support for schools We offer online or telephone guidance and support for education professionals working with bereaved pupils, as well as a range of free resources and webinars designed for early years, primary, secondary and further/higher education.
