If you aren't sure how you can support Child Bereavement UK as a volunteer with the time you have available, here are some ideas:

How can I share my skills with Child Bereavement UK?

Do you have experience and skills in areas such as photography, teaching, marketing or business? Register on our volunteering portal and let us know of any skills you’d like to share with us.

I only have a couple of minutes/hours, what can I do to help?

Donating is a quick and easy way to make a difference, you can also follow our social media accounts and share our posts to help raise awareness of our work.

Alternatively, you can register to volunteer and receive updates about new opportunities in our monthly Volunteer Spotlight newsletter. This way you can keep track of updates and opportunities to see what interests you when you have more time to give.

I only have a day. Do you have anything that requires a one-off commitment?

We have lots of one day opportunities throughout the year, from festival volunteering to bucket collections, dinner dances and supporting our runners at cheer points. Look at our current volunteer roles to find our more.

Can I volunteer for a couple of months or more?

Throughout the year we have a variety of volunteer and internship roles available. Current volunteer roles can be found on our website, and don't forget to register to volunteer to be contacted about upcoming roles.

Do you have any long-term volunteering roles?

We often offer long-term volunteering opportunities for volunteers who would like to regularly help and we would love to have you on board. Please look at our current volunteer roles. To ensure you’re among the first to know when a new role becomes available through our volunteering email updates, register on our volunteer portal.

Are there opportunities to work alongside staff directly supporting bereaved families?

There are sometimes opportunities for volunteers to work alongside our staff who support families, where appropriate. Full training will be provided. The best way to check if we have anything available is to search our current volunteer roles

I’m looking to get some experience and would like to do an internship. Is this something you offer?

On occasion we offer internships such as festival and event internships and challenge events internships. These are a great way to build skills and experience whilst supporting a great cause. Please look at our current volunteer roles to see what’s available. If you can’t see a role being promoted on the website, please register with us and tell us what interests you, as there may be roles available in the future.
