Nicola, a qualified chartered accountant, enjoyed her first career with Arthur Andersen where, for many years, she led consulting assignments, in the UK and overseas. Whilst living in Australia, she moved into recruitment, and has worked in the sector for over twenty years; she was formerly CEO of a leading HR recruitment business in London. Nicola now pursues a portfolio non-executive career working as an independent Board adviser for recruitment businesses and organisations within the Third Sector.

She has a long-standing interest in her local community. She has spent several years, in a voluntary capacity, as a telephone counsellor for emotional support services. She sits on several boards in an independent capacity, including Healthwatch Bucks, Jordans Village Ltd, the national social enterprise Turning Point and also the Children’s Services company, Brighter Futures for Children in Reading.

Nicola is Vice Chair of the Board of Child Bereavement UK; she is also the Chair of the Risk and Governance Committee and sits on both the Remuneration and Investment Committees.
