Child Bereavement UK works in collaboration with a variety of organisations in different capacities – from delivering bespoke training for staff and volunteers; and providing consultancy and support to help other organisations with shared aims to develop sustainable, quality services; to consulting on bodies representing the voice of bereaved children and families.

Awards and accreditations

  • Our animated film, The Invisible Suitcase was joint winner in the Mental Health Charity Films category at the 2023 Big Syn International Film Festival.
  • Accredited as a Living Wage Employer by the Living Wage Foundation (March 2023).
  • Our animated film Puddle Jumping won Silver in the £500k-£5m charity income category at the Charity Film Awards 2023.
  • Shortlisted in the 2023 BETT awards in the Wellbeing, Digital Wellnesss and Safeguarding Resources category for the Child Bereavement UK Toolkit produced in partnership with London Grid for Learning. 
  • In 2023, achieved the internationally recognised ISO 9001 Quality Management System accreditation for the quality improvement of businesses, evidencing our commitment to continual improvement to achieve a high standard of service.
  • Our animated film The Invisible Suitcase Animation won bronze in the People’s Choice Awards in the £500k-£5m charity income category at the Charity Film Awards 2022
  • The Child Bereavement UK Toolkit for schools, produced in partnership with the London Grid for Learning, was the winner in the Free Resources category at the Education Resources Awards 2022 (era) 
  • GO Awards UK National 2020 - NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde bereavement service was Highly Commended in the Best Service Micro and Small Businesses and Third Sector Organisations category. 
  • Managing a sudden death in the school community – online resource for schools produced with London Grid for Learning: Shortlisted as a finalist for the 2018 Education Resources Awards, Highly commended at the Bett Awards 2019
  • Third Sector Awards 2018: Finalist for Charity of the Year 
  • Our one More Minute campaign was commended in Third Sector's Top 10 Digital Charity Campaigns and Just Giving's Best Charity Campaigns of 2017, and was a runner up in the National Campaigner Awards' Best Digital Campaign.
