Setting up an online tribute fund

Families tell us that building and keeping memories can be important when someone important in your life has died. This is why we have introduced the Much Loved Tribute Fund which you can open in the name of your special person.

The page is a private online space for you, your family, friends and colleagues to share stories and photos as you wish. You can also donate to Child Bereavement UK through the fund, making it both a special way to remember, and something that makes a lasting difference to bereaved families.

It's easy to set up a tribute fund, using the steps below:

  1. Using the form below, let us know a few details about yourself and the person you would like to remember, and add a photo of them too.
  2. Your page will be set up through our partners Much Loved, who will send you the link to add more stories and memories.
  3. Share your personal page with your family and friends and encourage them to help remember your special person.

Remember, we’re here every step of the way to provide support and help you. If you would like help or more information on setting up an online tribute fund, please email [email protected]

    • Telling a child that someone has died

It is important to tell a child of any age when someone important in their lives has died, and ideally this is done by someone who is closest to them.

    • Supporting bereaved children and young people

Children and young people grieve just as much as adults but they show it in different ways. Find out how you can help them and more about child grieving.

    • Grieving for a child of any age

The agony of losing a child of any age is unparalleled. There is no age or point in time that makes it any easier. No parent expects to face the death of their child and no grandparent expects to lose their grandchild.

    • When a grandparent dies

      When a grandparent dies

The death of a grandparent is often a child or young person’s first encounter with the death of someone important. Parents have a great deal to manage when their own parent or carer dies. There is the grief associated with their own loss, but also the reactions and responses of their children to the death of a grandparent.

    • Children's understanding of death at different ages

Babies and young children have no understanding of the concept of death yet, long before they are able to talk, babies are likely to react to upset and changes in their environment brought about by the absence of a significant person.
