Child Bereavement UK, Brooklands Court Business Centre, Tunstall Road, Leeds LS11 5HL

In collaboration with Leeds City Council, Child Bereavement UK is offering a bereavement service in Leeds that supports children and young people, and their families, who have been bereaved of someone important in their life. The service is for Leeds families with young people up to and including age 18, and up to age 25 with SEND, who are in need of support.

Our services are provided free of charge and are offered by trained bereavement support practitioners.

Supporting families  

We are currently offering one-to-one telephone, webcam and video support sessions for families seeking guidance for a bereaved child or young person in their care aged up to age 18, or age 25 with SEND. Please call us to find out more about the support that's right for you and your family.

Zoom groups for children

Group for young people

Our group for bereaved young people aged 12-18 is currently being offered twice a week via video platform. Young people are able to access this group without receiving 1:1 support. Get in touch if interested.

Leeds Helpline

Our Leeds Helpline 01133 503598 and email  [email protected] is staffed 9am-5pm Monday-Friday for families and professionals seeking immediate guidance around how to best provide and access appropriate bereavement support for children and young people. Supporting schools

Professionals in schools and the community have a unique role in helping grieving children and young people, as children spend a significant amount of time in schools and services. We can provide support for specific issues, and bereavement training to Leeds-based schools and Children's Services by telephone and digital means - please call us to find out more.

Our bereavement support practitioners are fully trained and adhere to national safeguarding legislation, and all our services provide a safe environment for families and young people to receive support.
