Bereavement support for families in Leeds

In collaboration with Leeds City Council, Child Bereavement UK is offering a bereavement service in Leeds that supports children and young people, and their families, who have been bereaved of someone important in their life. The service is for Leeds families with young people up to and including age 18, and up to age 25 with SEND, who are in need of support.

We offer free, confidential bereavement support by telephone, video or instant messenger, as well as face to face support.

  • Support sessions - for children, young people up to age 18, or 25 with SEND, and their families 
  • Groups for families - facilitated groups for bereaved families where children aged 4-12 and their adult carers can meet others and explore their feelings through creative activities.
  • Groups for young people - facilitated groups for those between the ages of 7 to 18 (or 25 with SEND) to meet for social activities and to work on creative projects 

Current groups are:

  • Junior Group (ages 7-11)
  • Teens Group (ages 12-15)
  • Seniors Group (ages 16-18/19)

We welcome families and individuals of any race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, religion/faith, sex/gender/gender reassignment, marital/civil partnership status, or disability.
