Get involved Volunteer with us Volunteer roles Christmas Tree Collection Volunteer | Bucks & Berks We are looking for personable volunteers who ideally have a driving licence and own a van or large vehicle, although this is not essential, who are able to help us with our fun festive fundraiser for one, two or three days in January 2024. If volunteering as an individual, you will be paired with another volunteer.From Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 January, Child Bereavement UK staff and volunteers will be driving around Buckinghamshire and Berkshire collecting people’s real used Christmas Trees from their driveways in return for a donation. The trees will be delivered to a central base where they will then be chipped and recycled. DepartmentFundraising TermsThe days of the collections are Thursday 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 January 2024 from 9am to 5pm. Based We will be based at Wooburn & Bourne End Local Parish Council offices. Skills required Physically able to lift and move potentially large Christmas trees. Knowledge of local area and/or access to Google maps/navigation system. Friendly and able to work well with others. Ability to follow instructions Support given Overview of the charity and the work that we do. Full training on what to do on the day and how to use the routing app. We will provide you with gloves, goggles and a Child Bereavement UK branded t-shirt to wear during your shift. Light refreshments will be provided on the day.
