At this is a four day festival you can expect a line-up you won’t see anywhere else in the Peak District. This year you can enjoy performances from acts including Jamie T, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, The Vaccines, The Kooks and Katy B.

And it’s not just about the music. Y Not is a jam-packed event with countless things to do, from comedy and paint fights to carnivals and an in-house cinema. There’s something for everyone!

We're seeking friendly, approachable people to volunteer across all four days of the festival. Volunteers will give four hours of their time each day to help scan entry tickets and sell wristbands and raffle tickets in aid of Child Bereavement UK. In return for volunteering, you will receive free entry plus parking and early general camping entry from Wednesday 31 July for the full event.

We made some new friends, and met some very generous people, and had a lovely time (and it was also my first festival EVER!), but more importantly, we helped raise a lot of money for a very worthy cause.

Who can volunteer?

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. Children may not join a volunteering adult at this event. If you know another adult who would like to attend and volunteer with you, they need to be registered with us in advance of the event. Unregistered volunteers will not be accepted at the gate.

Shift groups

To ensure you can see the acts you love and to give you time enjoying the festival, you can choose from different shift groups. The shift groups all include one 4-hour shift for each day of the four days of the festival. When you select a shift group you will be required to work all shifts listed. Please be aware that we are unable to swap individual shifts. Shift groups are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and are only confirmed upon payment of the deposit.

Volunteer deposits

Volunteers are required to pay a refundable £100 deposit to secure a 4-day shift group at this popular festival.

Once your deposit has been received by Child Bereavement UK, an email confirming your four volunteer shifts for the festival will be sent to you.

Volunteers who attend all their shifts at the festival will be refunded their full deposit within two weeks of the event. Volunteers who don’t attend all four shifts at the confirmed date and time, will not have their deposit refunded. You may cancel your shift group within 7 days of booking and receive a refund, cancellations made after this will not be refunded.
