This training provides an overview of bereavement specifically for professionals working in the education sector. The content includes children’s understanding of death; models of grief; managing grief in school; bereavement policies and procedures; and strategies for support and staff wellbeing.

We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Our training is not usually suited to anyone who has suffered a recent, significant personal loss or bereavement.
