We can offer a series of booked telephone sessions for:

  • parents facing the bereavement of a baby or child of any age
  • for parents/carers supporting children or young people (up to age 25), if someone close to them is not expected to live, or has died.

Each telephone session is usually monthly, and lasts for around an hour.  It is with the same bereavement support practitioner each time, and the practitioner calls you at a pre-arranged, mutually agreed date and time.  They use a quiet, confidential space.  Those receiving support are asked to do the same, if possible, so that the best support can be given.

The service is free and is available for those living anywhere in the UK who is unable to access one of our support services in person.

There is no set number of sessions, and the service aims to support the individual with their specific needs and issues around their own bereavement of a child of any age, or their needs around supporting a bereaved child or young person.
