Bereavement awareness training for teachers and education professionals in Greater Manchester

Child Bereavement UK is currently working across Greater Manchester to improve bereavement support for children and young people. We are funded to offer Bereavement Awareness training webinars to staff working in education from pre-school to FE/HE.

As children and young people return to education, we are aware that teaching staff are challenged to respond to inevitable bereavement issues and questions. The webinar will concisely cover theories of grief, children and young people’s understanding of grief and loss at different developmental stages, practical support and resilience resources, as well as consideration of staff wellbeing.

The webinars are approximately 90 minutes long, including time for questions, and are adapted to suit Nursery, Primary, Secondary and FE/HE audiences.
