This internship role will be working closely with our friendly fundraising team to help recruit and organise our more than 1,500 strong volunteer festival team to support the Let‘s Rock the 80’s, Pennfest, and Sunday Sessions Festivals. The intern will assist staff to support the recruitment of volunteers, as well as attend agreed events and manage volunteer teams at festivals. This role would be ideal for anyone wanting to learn new skills in event management, fundraising, or volunteer management. Ideal applicants will be friendly, able to follow instructions and a good communicator. 

Terms: Six-month placement (April - October 2021) working two days a week (9am- 5.30pm with an hour for lunch) and selected weekend events, which can be flexible and agreed with the successful intern.

Key activities:

  • You will be working closely to deliver a big project raising thousands for a very deserving charity. 
  • You will support volunteering recruitment across a variety of channels including social media, businesses, and volunteer platforms.
  • You will be involved in the recruitment and management of volunteers during the registering process. 
  • You will receive training on NXT, our internal CRM system, and will use this system to update volunteer records.
  • You will be involved in strategy and update meetings via Zoom.
  • At events you will help manage volunteers on the day and provide excellent supporter care to festival goers
