A study day to inform and educate about the Muslim faith and its approach to death and bereavement - partly funded by GSK.

Who should attend?

Suitable for any professional who works with families who have faced bereavement.

16 November 2022: 9.30 am to 3.30 pm

Hear from experts from organisations such as the Muslim Bereavement Support Service, who will be joining us at this interactive study day to discuss the Islamic approach to death, bereavement and grief as well as experts from Women’s Health and Family Services, who will be joining us to discuss the support available for women who have experienced loss.

Aim of the day

Throughout this interactive study day, we will also consider the individuality of grief responses in the context of faith and culture.

We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Generally speaking, our training is not usually suited to anyone who has suffered a recent, significant personal loss or bereavement.
