Royal Parks Half Marathon

Distance: 13.1 Miles | Registration Fee: £50 | Fundraising Target: £350

The 13.1 mile scenic running route, winds through four Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and The Green Park) in all their autumnal splendour. Runners also have the opportunity to take in magnificent views of the capital city and some of its historic landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall.

Why Child Bereavement UK?

Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying. We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

I ran for Child Bereavement UK because after hearing of the work they do. I thought they were such a valuable charity that don’t get enough recognition. The Royal Parks event was a great experience with an amazing atmosphere, it was a perfect route for someone running their first half marathon. I couldn’t recommend it enough, who would’ve thought you could enjoy running 13 miles?!

When your baby dies
