Suitable for anyone working in the health and social care sector such as neonatal and paediatric units together with those who work with bereaved young children on a regular basis. 7 December 2021: 14.00 - 17.00 8 March 2022: 9.30 - 12.30 This 3-hour workshop is aimed specifically at those working in the healthcare sector in neonatal paediatric care and in children's hospices. The session explores the impact on you when supporting families facing or experiencing bereavement. We also look at the signs and symptoms if you or colleagues are struggling and explore personal strategies for coping with the challenges of work. Learning Outcomes You will: Develop your self-awareness in relation to working with loss, grief, and bereavement Gain an awareness of the incidence of stress, depression and anxiety and what research tells us about it impact on the professional Understand what causes and triggers stress in the workplace Look at what helps and hinders as well as models of support Consider ways to support yourself and your colleagues To identify what needs to be put in place for future staff support Gain information about Child Bereavement UK, other similar support organisations and resources Cost £45 Book here We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training.
