This 1 hour webinar aims to provide an introduction to loss, grief and bereavement, and an overview of the different ways that individuals can respond and what can help in interacting with those who are grieving.

Learning Outcomes

You will:

  • deepen your understanding of loss, grief and bereavement
  • learn about helpful models of grief, and consider these in relation to your own and others’ experiences
  • consider the factors that impact on the individuality of our responses to bereavement
  • gain an insight into what can help grieving relatives, friends and colleagues
  • gain information about Child Bereavement UK, other support organisations and resources.

Anyone who comes into contact with those who are grieving, whether in a personal or professional capacity.

We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Generally speaking, our training is not usually suited to anyone who has suffered a recent, significant personal loss or bereavement.
