Get involved Fundraise for us Take on a challenge Kew Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Whether you’re trying out a new distance, there for the scenic course or looking for a PB, there’s something for everyone during this weekend of running. Starting on closed roads inside the Gardens, The Kew Half Marathon ventures down the Richmond towpath and continues riverside to Ham House before finishing back at Kew. Every runner receives a fantastic medal and a technical running t-shirt from Runfest, and free entry to Kew Gardens. Your place also comes with free entry to Kew Gardens for up to four spectators (two adults, two children*), so once you’ve crossed the finish line, why not celebrate with a picnic? * Important: Guests wishing to access the grounds free of charge will need to enter Kew Gardens via Brentford Gate before 8.30am. They will therefore need to enter Ferry Lane no later than 8.15am. Once the gates close there is no admission until they re-open to paying customers. Once you are in Kew Gardens you can remain there for the rest of the day but you cannot exit and then re-enter without paying the standard entry fee. Why Child Bereavement UK? Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying. We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
