Challenge yourself in 2020 by walking 10,000 steps everyday for a month in aid of Child Bereavement UK. You can choose whenever, however and wherever to take on this challenge. All we ask is you spread awareness about Child Bereavement UK, and ask friends and family members to donate.

Taking on this challenge is a great way to feel good, improve your fitness and do something amazing.

Every step you take and every pound you raise will help Child Bereavement UK support bereaved families and children across the UK.

10,000 steps? How far is that?

10,000 steps equates to around 5 miles per day, based on the average person's stride. By the end of the month, you will have covered an incredible 150 miles. That's the distance from London to Manchester!

Why Child Bereavement UK?

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals both when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, and when a child is facing bereavement. We aim to ensure the accessibility of high-quality child bereavement support and information to all families and professionals by increasing our reach; plugging the gaps that exist in bereavement support and training across the country; and embedding standards in the sector.

The fundraising team at Child Bereavement UK will be able to support you before, during and after your challenge. We have a list of hints and tips on reaching your daily step intake, advice to set up your online fundraising page and help you raise as much money as possible. You'll also receive.

When you fundraise for us, you’ll receive:

  • a welcome email & fundraising pack from our events team
  • a Child Bereavement UK t-shirt to wear throughout your challenge
  • support from our fundraising team to support you throughout the month
  • a certificate and medal once you've completed your challenge
