Creative Ways of Working with Bereaved Children Webinar 24 May 2021: 13.00 - 16.0029 June 2021: 10.00 - 13.0028 July 2021: 10.00 - 13.00 This 3 hour interactive online workshop will explore creative ways of helping children express themselves and communicate when someone important in their life is dying or has died. The workshop will look at virtual activities which can be used, all of which are underpinned by theoretical approaches and research about what works well. Learning Outcomes You will: identify the importance of helping children find ways to express themselves and their feelings experience creative ways of helping children and families gain a deeper understanding of the theories of loss and grief in relation to children develop your self-awareness in relation to loss, grief and bereavement and the impact of a child’s death on you as a professional gain information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and resources available Who should attend? Generally speaking, our training is not usually suited to anyone who has suffered a recent, significant personal loss or bereavement.
