Distance: 4,411 ft | Registration Fee: £75 | Fundraising Target: As much as you can!

Child Bereavement UK is proud to collaborate with nine other charities in this bespoke challenge to raise awareness of baby and child loss.

In June 2020, we're taking on Ben Nevis at night, taking Big Steps for Small Feet. We hope to give those who need it the chance to walk and talk together, scaling new heights to unite and raise money for charities working to support bereaved families every day.

Losing a child is an unimaginable pain. A time where you can feel very alone in a big world.. We may not be able to stop the downpour, but we will all walk with you in the rain

About the Climb

Ben Nevis 'Mountain of Heaven' is the highest point in Scotland and the British Isles, standing at the lofty height of 1343m (roughly 4,000ft).

Reaching the summit of this mountain is a long, arduous uphill trek. Undertaking the climb at night is an unforgettable and arduous challenge, the way lit only by the moon and torches. We set off around sunset. heading towards the summit to experience the sunrise.

As we descend, we will see the spectacular landscapes open up before us as the day grows lighter. We will celebrate our huge achievement with a slap-up breakfast.

What your registration fee & tour cost includes:

  • Hot drinks before and after the event
  • A buffet hot meal before the trek begins
  • A cooked breakfast after descent
  • Support from experienced guides during the climb
  • Access to the Big Steps for Small Feet Facebook group
  • Support from the Child Bereavement UK fundraising team to help with your fundraising
  • Coach transfer to and from Glasgow Central Station- (optional)
