In July 2022, we're taking on Snowdon, taking Big Steps for Small Feet. Ascend more than 1,000 metres to reach Wales’ highest peak on a day-time trek. Enjoy breath-taking views and a huge sense of achievement! We hope to give those who need it, the chance to walk and talk together, scaling new heights to unite and raise money for charities working to support bereaved families every day.

Why take part in Big Steps for Small Feet?

This special event is the second bespoke event that Discover Adventure has organised to fundraise for multiple charities.

By taking part you will help raise awareness of the support needed by families who have experienced baby loss.

If you sign up for one of our charity places and opt to fundraise for us, £100 of your £250 sponsorship target must be raised by Friday 13  May 2022 to guarantee your place on the trek. If you fund your own place, there is no fundraising target - all we ask is you raise as much as you can.

When you fundraise for us, you’ll receive:

  • a welcome email & fundraising pack from our events team
  • a Child Bereavement UK branded t-shirt
  • support from our dedicated fundraising & events team to achieve your target
  • e-newsletters updating you with news from Child Bereavement UK
  • access to the Big Steps for Small Feet Facebook group

Your registration fee & tour cost includes:

  • coach transfer to and from the event hub Llanberis
  • hot drinks, porridge pots and pastries before the trek begins
  • a packed lunch and snacks during the trek
  • support from experienced guides during the climb
  • a medal and a glass of prosecco or 'nosecco' at the end plus a well-deserved sense of achievement!

Participants are responsible for travel costs to and from the event hub, accommodation costs and personal travel insurance.

Losing a child is an unimaginable pain. A time where you can feel very alone in a big world.. We may not be able to stop the downpour, but we will all walk with you in the rain.

Michael, Anam Cara Fasgadh
